In the last couple of hours, Electronic Arts has released the first update for Battlefield 1's open beta, which itself has been available to download since last week. The new update is intended to improve the balance and to fix some bugs. Additionally the developers are working hard to improve the server infrastructure after the launch of the beta was hit by a DDoS attack.
The open beta of Battlefield 1 will continue until September 8th and it's possible that DICE will provide another update that will further enhance the experience. Battlefield 1 is expected on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 21 (EA Access/Origin subscribers will get limited pre-launch access, and those that pre-order the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition will be able to start playing on October 18).
