The rumors regarding Nintendo's upcoming console, codenamed NX, won't seem to stop. Everything we've heard points to the unit being a hybrid of a stationary and portable device and that it will make use of cartridges rather than optical media.
Now we've got further evidence of the cartridge bit, as WSJ claims that Nintendo indeed will opt for going with that for their format of choice. The advantages of that would of course be that they're harder to pirate, they are faster to mass produce and that they provide faster load times.
Additionally, according to the site analysts claim that we could see an official unveiling of the console ahead of this year's Tokyo Game Show - which kicks off on September 15th.
