There's no doubt that Overwatch is a popular game, but there are always a few interested players that are uncertain whether or not to buy it. Those players will now get a chance to try the game completely free, at least on consoles.

Overwatch's free weekend vil take place on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from September 9th at 8.00pm CET / 7.00pm BST to Monday, 12th September 12th at 1.00pm CET / 12.00pm BST. During these days, Blizzard is making Overwatch's full roster of 22 heroes and every map available for play in a variety of modes, including Quick Play, Custom Games, and the latest Weekly Brawl. This means that you won't get to test your skills in Competitive Play.

You'll also be able to level up and earn Loot Boxes. If you like what you play and decide to buy Overwatch: Origins Edition later, you'll keep whatever progress you made during those three days.

PlayStation 4 players won't even have to be PlayStation Plus members. Unfortunately, that's not the case on Xbox One. You'll need a Xbox Live Gold membership to play on Xbox One during the free weekend.

Sounds interesting? All you have to do is download the Overwatch Free Weekend client next Friday, and enjoy your weekend.
