While HTC Vive is an impressive piece of technology, but the large chunk of cables connecting the headset to the computer can be cumbersome, and has often caused trouble as it can trip up the player. Valve is reportedly already on top of this issue, and according to ShackNews, they're actually working on a wireless version of the headset.

Valve is working alongside Quark VR, the company has been working on a wireless prototype for at least five months, and they will reveal it later in the fall alongside Quark.

Instead of having the cables run down the back of the user, it'll have a small receiver attached, and the player must have a small transmitter about their person, to help the signal bounce between the headset and the computer.

"Getting the experience to feel seamless through Wi-Fi, keeping in mind the inevitable connection delay, was a huge challenge, but we're getting extremely close to being able to show it in action," said Georgi Georgiev, Quark VR co-founder.
