Just mere hours after the grand opening of the Battlefield 1 beta, the servers were hit by a DDoS attack, and was affecting not only the beta, but many other EA online services as well. The company was quick to acknowledge til outage via their official Twitter, and equally fast was the reveal of the perpetrator.

Hacking collective Poodlecorp quickly claimed responsibility for the hack via their Twitter, saying:

"We are responsible for the downtime of @EA & @Battlefield #PoodleCorp"

This is the same group hackers who recently claimed responsibility for hacking Grand Theft Auto Online servers, as well as Battle.net. As always, it's difficult to confirm whether it's true or not.
