Nostalgia has been successful so far when it comes to video games on Kickstarter, but how about a book on the story of one of the pioneers in British game development? Well, that's what Darren Wall and his Read-Only Memory publishing is proposing with Sensible Software 1986-1999 - a combined biography and artbook about the developer of such classics as Sensible Soccer and Cannon Fodder.
Darren Wall has secured numerous interviewees including co-founder Jon Hare and multiple team members as well as other notables including Peter Molyneux for the project - but the ambitious book requires a bit of funding ($30,000) for lift off.
Head over to the Kickstarter page if you curious or looking to fund the project that is off to a great start with $8,556 pledged with 30 days remaining. A pledge of $38 secures a copy of the book, and for $180 you're getting a personalised copy and a vinyl with some of the most classic Sensible tracks.
Anyway, this is a book we wholeheartedly hope will come to fruition so let's hope it reaches its goal.
