Alternative Software has announced an official remake of the much loved ZX Spectrum game Skool Daze, intending to release it on iOS and Android platforms.

This is not the first developer to release a mobile version of the game. Two years ago they brought a version to iPhone through the Spectacular Emulator and there has also been a number of unofficial remakes as well.

There are not many details at the moment concerning gameplay, but judging by the screenshots on Alternative's Facebook page, the game will feature a remastered version of the original school and what looks like new, larger schools.

The game has seen a graphics overhaul as well, as showcased in the screenshots, as well as some hints to more modern objectives, with one showing you having to delete the schools database on a computer.

Skool Daze does not yet have a release date, however the developers have put out a Facebook post stating it is in final testing, so it shouldn't be too far off.
