The highly anticipated No Man's Sky is out in the world and people are out there discovering planets and weird space aliens as we speak. Creator Sean Murray has always said he wants to keep working on the game, adding more features via free updates, but in an interview with the Daily Star he's hesitant to rule out the possibility for paid DLC as well.
He told them that he really wants to have all updates to the game be free but at the same time that "perhaps he's naive" for that. When pushed on the possibility of paid DLC he said: "Maybe in the future there's some reason why we just couldn't possibly afford to do a certain feature without charging for it."
For the next big update Hello Games are adding base building and the ability to own large space freighters.
