The latest Japanese sales chart show some much needed improvement for PS Vita on the back of the release of Sega publisher Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f - a rhtythm game based on a popular virtual character.

Hardware sales more than quadrupled to just over 50,000 units for the week as Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f set a new first week record for a Japanese PS Vita game with almost 160,000 units.

There was, however, some bad news as the license holder told Japanese media the sales weren't big enough to offset the costly development, so perhaps we shouldn't expect a sequel anytime soon.

Hopefully, Sony have maintain a little momentum on PS Vita sales over the next few weeks.
