Despite The Elder Scrolls VI being a long way off, the title is once again up for discussion, this time after Bethesda's vice president of PR and marketing, Pete Hines, spoke about the reason why they're not already hyping the next game in the fantasy series.
"The motivation came from both sides," Hines told PCGamer. "Anything we want to do from a PR-marketing perspective always has implications on the devs, right? Whether that's trying to capture video or trying to put together a demo: it's an additional ask above and beyond just working on the game."
A result of this is that "you're not going to be hearing first details on [Elder Scrolls 6] years before the game comes out, absolutely not," Hines added. The man from Bethesda once again reaffirmed that we shouldn't expect the next entry in the long-running series any time soon.
"It's not the next thing we're doing nor the thing we're even doing after that."
As you were.
