343i's Dan Ayoub has offered up a detailed post outlining the response to the first beta for the Xbox One and Windows 10 PC bound RTS, Halo Wars 2, as well as the studio's response to that feedback.
In short, there's going to be another PC and Xbox One beta test early next year, and when it lands it's going to do so complete with many changes from the game as it was seen during June's first public test. Controls, leader abilities, bases, population, and resources and energy are all subject to change for the second beta.
"The beta showed only two of the many multiplayer modes we'll feature in the game. The range of modes are intended to satisfy a number of play styles and appetites; we'll have modes that run from hours of play to modes you can play in as little as 5 minutes. We'll outline more around these modes as we approach launch, and you'll have a chance to play these in the coming months," Ayoub said.
