Pre-order spaceship causing issues in No Man's Sky

No blueprint if you use the pre-order spaceship.

If you pre-ordered No Man's Sky you got (or will get if you went for the PC version releasing tomorrow) a bonus spaceship as a neat little extra. Unlike the ship you start out with in the base game, this ship comes with a hyperdrive engine already installed, and that has led to some unexpected issues for players.

As you already have access to a fully loaded ship, the game will simply skip the tutorial on constructing hyperdrives for ships that don't have them. It's within this tutorial you get the required blueprint for hyperdrive construction, meaning you run the risk of being stranded on a planet if you don't use a different ship.

Until the issue is patched the workaround is to hold off on redeeming the code for the pre-order ship until you're done with the tutorial. Lets hope Hello Games can sort this out rather quickly, as we would imagine a lot of players will redeem the code before even starting the game for the first time.
