I am Setuna's developer Tokyo RPG Factory have been reportedly been hit hard after their first venture struggled to secure a firm foothold its native Japan. A recent report posted in the Official Gazette has revealed that company saw a 244 million yen (£1.8 million) loss in the fiscal year ending March 2016.
During its opening week the freshly born IP sold 33,629 copies on the PS4 and a further 27,994 on the Vita in its home territory of Japan. While these figures may not sound too devastating for a new IP, Square Enix most likely had higher expectations and the recent financial report is a clear reflection of that.
Its yet to be revealed how the title performed in the west following its July 17th release, but let's hope that more took the plunge and delved into what is a truly outstanding JRPG throwback.
