It seems like news stories are breaking every day revealing the lows that people are prepared to sink in order to be able to become Pokemon Masters (for more weird stories, read our summary piece Pokémon Doh. The latest in a string of controversies involves two Arizona parents, who were arrested for child neglect and endangerment after sneaking off to play the popular augmented reality game.

The 2-year-old child was said to have been left at home during its parents' shenanigans, but was able to find a way outside and was spotted by a neighbour. Concerned about the child's welfare the neighbour contacted the police after realising that the parents were nowhere to be seen.

Deputies revealed that the child was crying and screaming upon their arrival and clothed in just a diaper and a t-shirt. Police described the child as appearing "red faced, sweaty and dirty," on a scorching 96-degrees night.

The child is now in the protection of child services and both parents are held under arrest facing charges for child neglect and endangerment.
