By the looks of it VR is here to stay, and with PlayStation VR on the horizon, it's edging into the public consciousness more and more. It does, however, still appear that many people aren't entirely sold on the whole concept of VR, and some even think it's a fad that'll pass eventually.
Doubters might be in the minority, as according to a recent study done by B/HI and research supplier Listen Research (via GameSpot), it seems that a lot PC and console players out there are looking to invest in a VR headset in the near future.
According to the study, from a pool of around 300 respondents who all play either PC or console games extensively, 74 percent said they intend to purchase a VR device, while 60 percent hope to get one as a gift. As for content, RPGs are the most anticipated genre.
That's a surprisingly high number, but then again, wanting/intending to buy something isn't the same as actually buying it, so we'll have to see whether VR continues to be adopted by consumers.
