Blizzard Entertainment has had a bronze sculpture of World of Warcraft villain Lich King Arthas Menethil raised in Taiwan to celebrate their 25th anniversary.
Situated in Taichung and created by Taiwanese designer Steve Wang the 14ft sculpture took over 30 people upwards of nine months to create.
"We are thrilled to see the unveiling of Arthas", said Blizzard CEO and co-founder Mike Morhaime. "The statue of Arthas is not just for the 25th birthday of Blizzard, but it is also our appreciation to all gaming communities in Taiwan. We are looking forward to the next 25 years of epic gaming experiences."
Nick Carpenter, VP of cinematic development, also had this to say;
"We wanted to give the world the most iconic character in the Blizzard universe, it took an army, the most talented people in this industry to pull it off."
