Digital card games are in fashion like never before, and Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft is leading the genre. If you're among the millions of players who enjoy a little (or a lot) of Hearthstone from time to time (all the time), you will be happy to learn that a week-long in-game event - a "Friendly Feud" - is coming to the game starting today.
Throughout the event you will receive quest rewards by battling your friends. This can be done for just about every quest in Hearthstone, with the following few exceptions:
• Games vs. The Innkeeper won't count toward quest completion—he's everybody's friend, but won't feud with anyone.
• 'Enter the Arena'—come on, the Arena's no place for friends.
• Golden Heroes—sorry, wins won't count towards those pretty portraits.
Additionally the proceedings will last past this week, as Blizzard explains in the press release:
The fun with your pals will continue even after Friendly Feud is over, thanks to a brand-new quest called Friend Challenge. Players who receive the quest can choose a lucky recipient from their friend list, challenge them to a match, and play out the match to complete the quest. When the game ends, each participant will receive 80 gold.
