"New hardware is going to come out in about a years time", EA head of labels Frank Gibeau told Bloomberg in a recent interview.
"We've already started three to five IPs that we're going to launch in those first 24 months of the next generation. EA Sports is there with all of its power, and you also see some really big brands like Battlefield coming out," Gibeau continued.
Gibeau also told the reporter how EA sees the new generation as an opportunity and how they failed to really get going early in this generation.
"Frankly, we made a couple of mistakes in how we built our technology that was going to build all these games."
This time around EA are banking on the Frostbite technology to carry them through the transition.
"That's [Frostbite] tailor made for next-gen hardware, so we're in really good shape from a technology standpoint, which is where we had our misstep last time."
