Pokémon Go is a huge hit worldwide (at least where it has been released thus far), but it looks like some key features are missing from the game, especially if you're familiar with the core Pokémon games. Talking with Game Informer, Niantic Labs CEO John Hanke, confirmed that Go will indeed be getting a trading system in the future. In fact. Hanke recognised that it is a "core element" in Pokémon games.
That will not be the only feature being added to Pokémon Go, as Niantic expects to expand the game and improve mechanics in upcoming versions. That will include more ways to interact with PokéStops, and new server iterations. No word for now on when exactly Pokémon Go will get a new update or the trading system, but we suspect Niantic are busy making sure the servers can handle the massive amounts of players.
