Sean Murray and the rest of Hello Games have been through quite a lot. Players around the world have very high expectations for the game, something that even led to loads of death threats after the last delay to the game. They've even had to fight for the right to use the word "Sky", so we're fairly certain that the British developer breathed a collective sigh of relief after today's announcement.
Mr. Murray just posted this message on Twitter: "It's happened. No Man's Sky just went gold. I'm so incredibly proud of this tiny team. 4 years of emotions".
This means that No Man's Sky will launch on August 10 on PS4, and on August 12 on PC. You can read more about our hands-on impressions of the game by hitting this link.
