The official Need for Speed Twitter account has trolled US president Donald Trump, and it did so by using the hashtag "#covfefe".

Twitter went into meltdown this week when Trump posted a message that simply read: "Despite the constant negative press covfefe". And that's it. Nothing else. Not a peep.

Naturally, the good people of Twitter (well, they're mostly good) went to town with Trump's generous gift, speculating as to the true meaning of the "covfefe" typo. Trump himself later offered a follow-up tweet where he wrote: "Who can figure out the true meaning of "covfefe" ??? Enjoy!"

Of course, that just fanned the flames of creativity, and it's well worth having a look around the Twitter-sphere to see what people are coming up with in response to his strange posts.

It also seems as though EA have decided to get in on the act, and the Need for Speed Twitter account dropped the below image and text, hinting at a big announcement on the horizon. Let's see what they have to say "later in the week".

Well, that's ruined that surprise! Guess we'll be back later in the week with a new name #covfefe
