Blizzard Entertainment is patching Competitive Play into Overwatch today - but only for the PC version of the game. Console players will have to wait with no time frame given as to exactly when that update will launch on PS4 and Xbox One.
"We know this isn't an ideal way to deliver new content, so we're going to continue to refine our patching processes over the next few months in an effort to sync up our release dates across platforms as closely possible," is the only explanation given by a community manager called Lylirra over on Battle.net.
Blizzard is aiming at delivering major updates on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 simultaneously - but apparently all of the kinks associated with that have yet to be ironed out.
