EA is having to pay out $600,000 in order to settle a case with Cleveland Browns NFL player Jim Brown over Madden NFL 07. Brown played for the Browns back in 1965 and wasn't happy about being included in the video game without permission and having expressly declined to be included beforehand.

Brown still ended up in the game that year and the whole debacle ended up in court. The lawsuit has now finally been settled, with EA offering a $600,000 voluntary judgment while Brown will release his claim. Both sides are responsible for their own legal fees.
