Rumours and trademarks have indicated that the Nintendo NX might be a hybrid between a home and portable console with industry leading chips, that the controller will function as a second screen, expand on the Amiibo aspect, and much more. All of these features sound somewhat innovative, thus Shigeru Miyamoto's latest statement lends some credibility to the different theories springing up here and there.
In an interview with Associated Press the industry legend had this to say:
"In terms of NX, there's an idea that we're working on. That's why we can't share anything at this point, and I don't want to comment on the other companies. If it was just a matter of following advancements in technology, things would be coming out a lot quicker."
This makes sense considering Tatsumi Kimishima said that the NX will be a new way of playing games. The only thing we know for sure is that Nintendo's next console won't be a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One lookalike.
