Apparently gamers are "looking for more shades of grey."

Mass Effect: Andromeda is going to ditch the paragon system of old, and give players a little more wriggle room when it comes to decision making, rather than painting choices as simply "right" or "wrong".

The news comes via GamesRadar, who spoke to Bioware's Mac Walters on this very subject: "I think in general, with all this sophistication of games or engaging in any kind of entertainment right now, [gamers are] looking for more of those shades of grey".

Also long as he's talking about a move to something more akin to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and not grey of the 50 shades variety, we'll be happy.

According to Walters the old setup "was a core part of who Shepard was", but "now we're moving away from that. We've been looking for other ways to engage more of those shades of grey; less about it being obviously being right or wrong and more about giving people a sense of choice".

This comes hot on the heels of news that Mass Effect: Andromeda won't acknowledge your ME3 ending as the studio looks to put some distance between Shepard's trilogy and this new adventure.
