Big changes are happening in two of the most important management teams at Nintendo of Europe. Former Marketing and Public Relations Manager at Nintendo Ibérica (Spain & Portugal) in Madrid, Nicolas Wegnez, has just joined the London team at Nintendo UK as General Manager.

Wegnez, who started yesterday as new head of the British arm of the company, takes up the baton from Simon Kemp, who's been working in the same position for the last three and a half years. Thus, Wegnez arrives in one of the trickiest European markets for Nintendo, although he comes with expertise gathered during more than 20 years in Spain.

Among his many achievements, Wegnez and his team have kept Nintendo first or second in Iberian market, always above Microsoft and Xbox.

Wegnez has been replaced in Spain by online marketing veteran Gustavo Viudez. Both have to deal with an upcoming Christmas campaign with a limited lineup, before then leading the fight back with the mysterious new home console, the NX, which launches in March 2017.
