The Dead Rising series is mainly known as an Xbox franchise, so when Dead Rising 4 was announced during Microsoft's E3 press conference, most of us thought that it would come exclusively to Microsoft's platforms. It turns out that might be wrong.
When a Twitter user asked about the possibility of seeing the game on PlayStation 4 in the future, Capcom Vancouver replied with a fairly vague: "You'll be able to play it first on Xbox One and Windows 10."
Microsoft later clarified that Dead Rising 4 is indeed a timed-exclusive game, and that it might eventually find its way to PS4 and Steam. They did not specify as to when the deal expires, but rumour has it that it's a one year agreement.
With the controversial Rise of the Tomb Raider deal fresh in mind it'll be interesting to see the public reaction to this.
