When the Xbox One S was announced yesterday at the Xbox E3 Showcase, the console was revealed to have 4K media playback and an UHD Blu-ray player. Nobody thought this meant that the Xbox One S will be able to play games better, though, but The Coalition head Rod Fergusson has come out and said that Gears of War 4 will benefit a little from the increased power of the console.

In an interview with Polygon, Fergusson said that Gears of War 4 uses a dynamic resolution system, and the extra power from the Xbox One S means games running on the system will suffer less from frame drops when the resolution adapts, and resolution changes will be fewer.

The Xbox One S will launch in August, and Gears of War 4 will release for Xbox One and Xbox One S (and Windows 10 PC) on October 11.
