Next game from the Spore-creators

EA have announced Darkspore, a new action roleplaying game from Maxis, that in many respects is related to 2008's space mutant Civilizationesque-game Spore. Here's a couple of the first screenshots from the game, and it does look a bit like a Diablo-in-space with a good serving of mutated alien enemies. Which is exactly how we like our alien enemies.

The game is supposed to have online co-op and multiplayer, three classes, five different heroes and a ton of upgrades and character customization options. Darkspore is supposed to be released for PC and Mac early next year.
