Crackdown 3 wasn't present at Microsoft's E3 press conference, however, the developer Reagent Games has released a statement on their website.

Crackdown 3 will be available for both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, and will support new Xbox initiative, Play Anywhere. The explosive title originally had a release date for this year, but now it has been pushed back into 2017, with studio wanting extra time for polishing.

"Our top priority is to give gamers an experience they have never seen before at a scale never thought possible, and sticking to our original timeline would have compromised that goal," says the statement from creative director Dave Jones.

The statement concludes, "While we won't be at E3, we cannot wait to show you the future of Crackdown 3 soon." This could be a hint for us to expect the game at Gamescom later this year. Time will tell.
