Better launch than slim PS2 and PS3

The new Xbox 360 model that launched last week has been selling like hot cakes in the United Kingdom and today Charttrack reported on just how well things went.

"...the biggest launch in the UK for a "revised" home console, surpassing the launches of both PS2 Slim and PS3 Slim and recording over two days around the same as the original Xbox 360's launch sales total back in week 48 2005"

Very impressive even if the original launch of Xbox 360 saw fairly limited supplies. In contrast to the very impressive launch in the UK, it has been revealed that the discounted old model outsold the new slim model in June in the US.
