InXile Entertainment announced today on their Kickstarter page that Torment: Tides Of Numenera - their highly anticipated RPG - won't be released at the end of 2016 as originally planned, but will instead be available on PC, Mac and Linux in early Q1, 2017.
The studio explained this decision, telling backers that the extra time will be essential to the team for improving their efforts localising the game, and of course optimising the title now that it's content complete.
InXile then confirmed that they have signed a partnership with an unannounced and mysterious publisher, but at the moment the studio hasn't offered any further details.
Finally, all those who have supported the project on Kickstarter will receive a code that gets them into the beta for Torment: Tides of Numenera, a gesture by the studio to say thanks to fans that have supported the project.
