Over in China the Warcraft movie has managed to make $45.7 million in one day, and $5.33m in IMAX alone. It's opening night did extremely well and fans really showed their support for the franchise.
The $160 million movie, produced by Legendary and Blizzard Entertainment, earned a near-record $7.6m in midnight previews, just below the $8.4m made by Furious 7 last year, and has become the second biggest film ever in China, just behind Furious 7.
Warcraft is massively popular in China, with a huge subscriber count to the original game, and it seems like all the MMOs fans made it out to the movies on opening day.
