Another weak month for the industry

The U.S. video game sales were down 9 per cent year-over-year in June, as Red Dead Redemption registered its second number one spot in succession. Software was down 15 per cent, while hardware fared a little better thanks to the launch of the smaller and quieter Xbox 360 at E3. June had few big releases, but it is still surprising that none of the following: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Singularity, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, and Transformers: War for Cybertron managed to make the list in a rather weak month like this.
