Earlier today an anonymous hacker claimed to have penetrated Sony's Playstation Network and made off with 50GB of database, and details from over 10 million accounts.

Since the revelation Sony has since moved to discredit the claims. The platform holder talked to CVG and said: "We've confirmed that the recent claim that PlayStation Network was illegally hacked and that customer passwords and email addresses were accessed is completely false."

You can breathe a sigh of relief then.
