Another sign that a new model is incoming?

Having shipped 40 million PS4 units worldwide (up until March 31), it certainly seems Sony are bullish about continued fortune. In their latest financial report they predict sales of 20 million in fiscal 2017 (April 1, 2016-March 31, 2017), up from 17.7 million in fiscal 2016.

This would put Sony at 60 million shipped PS4 (sell through is typically lagging 1 million or so behind the shipped numbers) at the end of March next year. An impressive feat that's not only putting it well ahead of any competition out there now, but also means it is on a record pace historically.

While PS4 has seen sales increase during its lifetime, one has to speculate whether Sony are hoping for some kind of boost this year, presumably with the new PS4 model (NEO/PS4K), and perhaps they're also hoping that PSVR will open up a new market for them.
