In recent weeks, a free demo of Nioh - the highly anticipated new action game from Team Ninja - was made available to all PlayStation 4 players, where the game is exclusive.

As we reported in our preview, Nioh proved to be a very interesting game, thanks to influences from the Dark Souls series, though Team Ninja has chosen a very different setting compared to the famous medieval RPG saga by From Software. And apparently, we're not the only ones to think so, because - as they announced on Team Ninja's official blog, Nioh's demo was downloaded by over 850,000 players.

In the blog post, the outfit also indicated that this beta test proved to be also very important thanks to the feedback they received from the community, which will help the team make many improvements to the game before its launch. You can read all the details on the survey they conducted about the game by hitting this link. Nioh is expected to land exclusively on PlayStation 4, but currently we don't have a definitive launch date.
