343 Industries has announced that Halo 5: Guardians' Forge mode will come to Windows 10 for free later this year in form of what they call Forge - Halo 5: Guardians Edition. This is a version of Forge made specifically for PC. In addition to the tools already present in the Xbox One version Forge - Halo 5: Guardians Edition will include a few new features designed specifically with PC users in mind, including:

Keyboard and mouse support: Users will have the option of using a keyboard and mouse, allowing for more precision and control than ever before. The updated and optimized UI is geared towards mouse interactions, and will make a lot of the inputs faster than before.

Increased resolution: Support for multiple resolutions, including 4k.

Test and play with others: It'll now be possible to get help of other players to help build, test, and play your Forge creations on Windows 10.

Creations built on Windows 10 can be published and played on Xbox One. This may of course lead to a flood of new creations for Halo 5: Guardians, but that's not all. 343 also promises news about updates for the Xbox One version of Forge in the coming months. They mention features such as "new environments, advanced file sharing capabilities, new pieces, palettes, props, and much more".

Two things worth noting here: 1) Why support 4k if just for Forge? 2) The phrasing "play your Forge creations on Windows 10" is really interesting. This must mean that Halo 5: Guardians is coming to PC any minute now, right?
