Star Wars Battlefront didn't have a proper singleplayer campaign and a lot of people complained about this. Back then, DICE said they wanted to focus on multiplayer, but now the EA Studios boss Patrick Söderlund admits that this was a "conscious decision" made to be able to time the game with release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens:
"We made [the choice] due to time and being able to launch the game side-by-side with the movie that came out to get the strongest possible impact."
What do you think of this, did DICE do the right choice? Would the game has sold as good if they missed out on the release of the movie (which means the game probably hadn't even been released yet) and is singleplayer in Star Wars Battlefront even something you want? Is it something you want DICE to focus one for the inevitable sequel?
