The twelfth Gamelab's will return to Barcelona at the end of next month, but this year it'll switch location. Specifically, Gamelab 2016 will be held at Hesperia Tower hotel, from June 29 to July 1, 2016.

In terms of talking points, the organisation aims to widen the scope of the event even further, adding new social trends tied to video games, and thus dealing with topics such as the esports boom, user-generated content and gameplay/livestream shows.

The first highlighted speaker announced for this year is none other than Peter Moore, new head of esports at Electronic Arts after leading operations and the EA Sports brand (and of course after working at Sega and Micrsoft/Xbox).

In this new space about competitive gaming, the presence of Minh Le has been confirmed as well, with the Counter-Strike creator returning to the event after three years, as CS remains one of the main disciplines in pro esports.

These are the other names confirmed for panels, roundtables, talks, master classes and so on at the conference:

• Jens Bergensten (designer and main programmer of Minecraft)
• Kevin Bruner (Telltale's CEO and founder)
• Brent Bushnell (TwoBitCircus' founder, son of Atari's founder Nolan Bushnell)
• Phil Harrison (London Venture partner after working at SCEI, Microsoft Game Studios, Gaikai, Atari)
• Alex Fleetwood (Sensible Object)
• Mahdi Bahrami (Engare)
• Rami Ismail (Vlambeer, also returning, now with couple and also developer Adriel Wallick)

Registration for Gamelab 2016 is now open over at the official site. Gamereactor will once again provide coverage of the event as official media partner.
