Charts: Battleborn takes number one at retail

But Ratchet & Clank is the best-selling single SKU once more.

Most of the time a number one spot in the UK charts is reason to celebrate, but one has to wonder whether 2K Games didn't have higher expectations for Battleborn as it is climbs to the top in a relatively slow week for UK retail. While Gearbox Software's Battleborn did climb to the top of the all formats chart (where sales of all platforms are combined) it failed to dislodge Ratchet & Clank from the top of the individual formats chart. Given Ratchet & Clank lost 51% of its sales from last week, that's not a terribly convincing performance, but perhaps Battleborn will prove its worth in the longterm. Regardless, the number one is the first one for the publisher in more than a year (GTA V - Week 11, 2015).

No other new released charted, but thanks to retailer promotion and anticipation ahead of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection managed to rise back up the charts (all formats - 22, individual - 15). As usual it should be kept in mind that these charts only account for retail sales, and with a growing digital market only accounts for a portion of the UK game sales.
