Suda51 fans, we have some excellent news for you! Grasshopper Manufacture has announced that it's working on a remastered version of The Silver Case, the 1999 game developed by Suda Goichi and published exclusively in Japan on the original PlayStation.

After 17 years, The Silver Case - the first iteration of the popular "Kill the Past" series developed by Suda51 and his team, which has never been published in the West (unlike other chapters, Flower, Sun, and Rain and Killer7, which have been localised for western audiences) will finally be released in English via this new remaster edition.

The launch of the game on PC is scheduled for this Autumn, when it will be released digitally on Steam (and via other digital stores), and of course the game will boast improved technical features and improvements to the gameplay, although so far Goichi Suda and Grasshopper haven't offered further details on what we can expect.

Last year Suda51 told Gamereactor that the studio was considering returning to The Silver Case, and now it's clear that the plan is very much in motion.

Thanks, Gematsu.
