As you've probably heard by now a remastered edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the game that revolutionised the multiplayer shooter, is launching alongside Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare this November.

Infinity Ward has been placed as "executive producers" on the project while Raven Software is doing the grunt work of actually porting the game over to today's high-end PCs, PS4 and Xbox One.

"The original Modern Warfare raised the bar on video games and forever will be remembered as one of the best. It's an honor to be developing the remaster and we are committed to faithfully remastering this classic for Call of Duty fans," stated Brian Raffel, studio head of Raven Software.

The remaster will include both the trendsetting campaign and the groundbreaking multiplayer, so it will be interesting to see if the Call of Duty player base will split as both titles launch at the same time.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will be included with the following editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare:

• Legacy Edition and Digital Legacy Edition
• Digital Deluxe Edition (includes season pass)
• Legacy Pro Edition (includes season pass, steel book, soundtrack, digital items)
