Blood and Wine is the second and final large-scale expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and with the release approaching, CD Projekt RED is unveiling some new interesting details.

In an interview with the German website GameStar (translated by a Reddit user called Pawel95), some important new details have emerged, starting with the window for the expansion's launch date. Although the studio hasn't yet decided on an official date Blood and Wine's release, the outfit announced that its launch is expected before E3 this year (which will be held between June 14-16).

As for the size of the map of the new area, the team compared it to the Skellige Islands, combined. In addition, there is also great news for everyone that loves to play Gwent: the new expansion will add a new deck of cards.

Finally, during the interview, CDPR said that they aren't currently working on a possible remaster for the first two games in the trilogy, nor on a possible retail edition of the entire trilogy. On the contrary, the Polish studio is instead considering the idea of publishing a GOTY Edition, with all the expansions and patches that have been published to date.

Thanks, VG247.
