During the weekend PAX East happened, and in order to promote the upcoming release of Overwatch, Blizzard ran a cross-promotion with taxi service Uber to drive attendees to and from the venue. Unfortunately, one of these vehicles, a massive Ford F650 supertruck driven by a cosplayer dressed as the character Soldier 76, got into a bit of an accident.
The vehicle hit a car just outside the venue, and this was ironically witnessed by none other than Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford, who had just shown off Battleborn nearby.
Pitchford took a photo of the accident, and posted it on his Twitter:
"Just left PAX East and out full house Main Theater show to see a monster truck branded with competitive game run over a civilian car."
"Here's a photo I just took of the monster truck pulled up onto the side walk next to the car that got hit."
According to Kotaku no one got hurt in the accident. That may not be case when Battleborn and Overwatch are set to lock horns in May over what is now a highly competitive space in the shooter genre.
