Xbox One's sales have been going up year after year, despite a call to investors last night that Xbox hardware revenue has declined by 26% during its third-quarter for the current fiscal year.

Microsoft claims the decline in revenue is likely related to the decline in Xbox 360 sales, along with the lowered price of the Xbox One. Xbox Live has grown 26% in comparison to this time last year, attributed to "the growth of the Xbox One and Windows 10."

Xbox One unit sales are apparently also outpacing prior generations in terms of reach and engagement, and Windows 10 gaming hours have grown by half thanks to some Xbox One titles, like Quantum Break, being available on PC via the Windows Store.

Revenue from gaming grew to $64 million, up 4% from last year, and revenues from Xbox Live grew 21%, thanks to more transactions, revenue per transaction, and increased revenue from Microsoft Game Studios. Microsoft has stated it expects to see "continued healthy user engagement," on Xbox.
