If you're a fan of world history, War Thunder might be a game worth looking into. For the next few weeks the free-to-play military MMO will be more accurate than ever, as developer Gaijin Entertainment has launched a campaign of daily World War 2 battles called the WW2 Event Series.

Through it, players will be able to take part in the recreation of famous battles from the war, such as the North Africa campaign, the battle for Stalingrad, and the Siege of Malta. At the same time they will be able to win rare vehicles like an A34 Comet "Iron Duke" IV or Richard Bong's P-38J, as well as other prizes.

Each event goes live at 13.00 BST / 14.00 CET every day, and the campaign will feature over 70 battles in total. You'll find a complete list of the challenge requirements and prizes here. The WW2 Chronicles will run until May 9.
