Three days ago a NeoGaf user called Mideon posted a picture of something he/she had been told was the map from the next Red Dead game. The picture has now been removed, but we managed to take a screenshot before it happened.

Now Techradar have spoken to a source that claims that it's real. Apparently it's a ""very recent" art direction map".

The source also confirmed that the game will be set before Red Dead Redemption, something that makes sense considering there doesn't seem to be a railroad in the Great Plains. If you have a keen eye you might also notice Blackwater, a settlement from Red Dead Redemption, in the bottom left corner. This indicates that we'll be travelling further east this time around. As if that wasn't enough it seems like the main character/characters might be able to swim as well, as there are multiple islands. And what's that smaller map at the top? Will we be travelling further in to Mexico this around? We can only speculate, but we expect to suddenly get an announcement from Rockstar one day. Maybe they'll even come back to E3.
