Galak-Z: The Dimensional was this roguelike-loving writer's favourite game of last year (head this way to find out why we liked it so much). There's good news for those among you who enjoyed it as much as we, because a new, free expansion is on the way, and although it's not finished yet, you can still sample it via the ongoing beta on Steam.
The Void brings with it an endless mode called Void Run, which is tied to online leaderboards (which will be wiped once the beta ends, you have been warned). On top of that there's also a new Daily Challenge mode (similar to the one seen in Spelunky) where players will have a preset loadout and one chance to make the most of it and post a respectable score.
