Dark Souls III is now available all around the world, after the third chapter of the beloved action-RPG series officially landed in Europe on PC, Xbox One and PS4 yesterday. On the same day, From Software also released a day one patch that, in addition to officially opening up the online servers for the multiplayer component of the game, also introduces some important improvements to the title in terms of balance and bug fixes.
In this regard, Digital Foundry has released a new video in which they have analysed in detail the game following the introduction of this patch on PS4; they noticed a general improvement in terms of performance on Sony's console, where the game is more stable and with less framerate drops. However, the game isn't perfect yet, because there are still some technical issues, but apparently the situation appears to have improved significantly compared to the unpatched version. It is very likely that From Software will further enhance the experience with subsequent patches, so be patient.
